Rest in Peace, beloved Suzanne

Suzanne passed away August 22, 2008

It is with a heavy heart that we, Suzanne’s friends, inform you that our dear friend Suzanne Penny has passed away Friday morning at 2:55am .

She was rushed to the hospital when her blood counts went down at the beginning of the week. Upon admission they ran tests on her and tried to bring up her counts.

During her stay in the hospital she was comfortable and hopeful to be discharged in 4 days. Events took a turn for the worse on Thursday evening at around 9pm she was mentally confused and her kidneys and lungs were failing. The doctor called Diane at 11pm to let her know that he has been working on Suzanne to stabilize her vitals since 9pm. He called to say that he was going to insert a tube in her lungs to stabilize her. The doctor called again at 1am to tell Diane and Lee that she was in critical condition and to inform her children if they would like to see her but Suzanne would not regain consciousness. The doctor called again at around 2:30am to ask Diane permission to take her off life support. Diane pleaded for the doctor to keep her alive till morning so that her children could see her to say good bye. He said he would try and within half an hour, he called again to let Diane and Lee know her heart had stopped at 2:55am August 22nd 2008.
